The Lady Vikings earned a hard fought win at Godwin Heights on Tuesday evening.  The Vikings took an early lead and were up 12 at halftime.  Mid way through the 3rd quarter the Ladies pushed the lead to 17.  Godwin got hot from the floor and capitalized on some Viking turnovers cutting the lead to 8 at the end of the 3rd period.  The Godwin run continued into the 4th quarter.  The Lady Wolverines tied the game at 50 and then took a 5 point lead into the closing minutes.  The Lady Vikings were able to get some results out of their press to get the lead back 56 to 55.  Godwin scored once more before the Lady Vikings were able to close out the scoring on a 5 to 0 run to seal the 61-58 victory.  Both teams gave an all out effort in an exciting high school basketball game.  The Vikings placed 8 scorers in the book.  They were led by Kennedy Helderop's 18 points.  Samantha Sebright added 11 pts, Olivia Sebright had 10 pts, and Alley Lenard had 9 pts.  The Ladies are back in action Wednesday night at home against Kelloggsville.
