The Lady Vikings dropped a heartbreaker to Comstock Park, 36-37, on a buzzer-beating three pointer Tuesday night. The girls battled back from a 9-point deficit in the mid-second quarter to tie the score at the end of the third quarter at 27, and again with one minute left at 34. With the Vikings up two points, the Panthers last-ditch 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds on the clocked dropped to hand Hopkins their first loss of the season.
Emily Tunstill led the charge for Hopkins with 14, followed by Grace Brenner with 7 and Corrie Wisser with 6. Also contributing offensively were Emily Dimock with 4, Jade LaHaie (3), and Sierra Smith (2). The JV girls will travel to Wayland tomorrow and return to Viking arena on Friday to face Allendale before entering winter break.
