The Hopkins Lady Vikings defeated Calvin Christian in overtime Friday night 55-49. The Vikings got out to a big lead in the first quarter but the Squires were equal to the task in the 2nd quarter and the teams went into the locker at halftime with Hopkins leading 26-24. The teams battled back and forth in the 2nd half and regulation ended 46-46. The Lady Vikings were able to gain the advantage in overtime 9-3 to seal the victory. Eight Vikings cracked the scoring column. Olivia Sebright and Kennedy Helderop had 13pts apiece. Maya Kerber contributed 9pts and Sam Sebright added 8pts. The Lady Vikings return to action tomorrow against Kelloggsville.
