The Hopkins High School Athletic Department announced John Mieras as its next Varsity Girls Soccer Coach. After graduating from East Kentwood High School, John went on to play Soccer at Calvin College. After college, John coached in the boys and girls programs at Calvin Christian High School.

“John has been a part of successful programs at his previous coaching stops. Coach Mieras will bring a wealth of coaching experience including multiple years as a head coach. We are beyond excited to bring John to Hopkins and let him continue to grow and develop our girls soccer program,” said Athletic Director Andrew Mains.

"Soccer has been a big part of my life as a player and supporter. I'm excited to get on the pitch at Hopkins as a coach. It's a new challenge for me and one I'm eager to embrace." Said Mieras.

The girls’ soccer season officially starts on March 13, 2023.
