MHSAA Update 9/3/2020 **Important Information**

With the Governors Executive Order 2020-176, we have been approved by the MHSAA to start competing in all of our sports this fall.  This is great news, but this decision does come with many stipulations that we have to follow in regards to keeping kids safe and healthy so we can continue to participate in sports for the duration of this school year.

One of those stipulations is in regards to spectators at our events.  We will not be charging to get into athletic events until we are in Phase 5 of the governors return to school road map.  At that time the amount of people allowed in to an event significantly increases.

Based on the Executive Order sent out last Thursday it states that each player will be allowed to designate 2 people who will be allowed to attend their athletic competition on a given date.  These designees per player will be put on a pass list and checked off by our "ticket taker" at our home events.  Away events we will send that school a list of the designees and they are the only people who will be allowed into that away event.  If you are not on the list you will not be allowed to enter the event.  We understand that this isn't ideal, but we are not in an ideal situation currently and we need to follow all protocols in order to continue to keep our student athletes as safe as possible.

No game passes will be accepted at this time.

Masks: Currently on the Executive Order 176 it states that all participants will need to wear a mask at the event.  Participants are categorized as players, coaches, spectators, and game workers.  Basically everyone who is at the event will need to wear a mask.

Game Help: We will be sending out a sign up genius link for help during our events, we will need help in many different ways this year, and your help would be greatly appreciated.

More information will be coming out in the coming days, as we don't have all of the answers yet, and will continue to update you as often as we can.  We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time.  We are excited to be able to have competition in all of our fall events this fall, and not have any moved into the spring.  If we do our part, we should be able to complete all seasons this fall and have a successful transition into our Winter sports.
