Hopkins Girls Golf shot 220 today in route to a 3rd place finish at their conference jamboree at Boulder Creek. Annika Ford led the team with a 48. Emerie VanBonn had a nice round of 54; she was the only Viking to improve her average Tuesday at a tough course. The greens gave the team some trouble, but there were still many great signs from the team both off the tee and on approach. We'll look to put all phases of the game together on Friday at The Lynx for the M-89 Shootout. Separately - Two kind of cool things to get to share. I had an employee at the course thank me because Kennedy Parsons was the only girl at the event to go down the range and pick up empty buckets. Additionally, a coach told me that Lexi Kerber's playing partners thought she had a 6 on a hole, but she walked them through her strokes to make sure they got the accurate score of 7 down on the card. She easily could have just taken then 6, and I think many kids would have. Great sign of integrity there from one of our players!
