The Varsity Cross Country team and Middle School Cross Country team took on the first OK Silver meet of the year hosted by Fruitport. The HS boys team took 2nd finishing behind only NorthPointe Christian. Kash Moored took 3rd for the Vikings with a time of 17:52 and Gavin Schans finished 8th, rounding out the top 3 for the Vikings was Grady Johnston with a season best 20:13. On the Girls HS side of things the lady Vikings finished in 5th place but Lillian Dewey took 1st place overall with a time of 20:27. Izabella Jordan finished 9th for the Vikings. On the Middle School side of things the Boys finished in 1st place as a team, led by Leyton VanderWeg taking 1st place overall with a time of 12:42. Owen Daugherty finished in 5th and Keagan Shanahan in 9th place. The Middle School Lady Vikings took 2nd place as a team led by Reese Williams taking 3rd place with a time of 14:43. Cecilia Buist finished 7th and Claire Weber finished 9th rounding out the top 10 for the Vikings. Great job by all runners! Go Vikings!
